I'm nothing special. Or am I?

Am I an impossibility or a mystery?

Many centuries ago I was born in France- a town that towered at the heights of the social class. I was proud of my education and my knowledge, always having a deep need to learn.
That was the past, of course. I do love France more than any other country, still.

I had no knowing of what was to happen to me. I was ignorant to the idea of any species other than fragile humans stepping about this earth. When the change happened I was shown a whole new view of this world.

Some have said I am the most 'attractive' of the late James' coven. I admit this flatters me a touch, but I do not wish to sound vain. James may as well have been a hunting machine. He was merciless when he set his mind to a goal. Sadly, his last hunt found him a fatal end.

After his death I headed north, to Denali, Alaska. A beautul area, yes. I met a lovely woman there by the name of Irina. The rest, well...let's move on...

There were some who thought they had rid of me, though their inexperience shines through because I still am here. I have some secrets of my own up my sleeve...ones they failed to contemplate. Yes, I was nearly destroyed. I still find myself healing from the incident in ways I would have never fathomed. Each day I feel more like myself, thankfully.


I do not know what the future will bring. I may travel on or I may linger nearby for a while. The future is so unpredictable...
